Dry Woods, Ambery
Powerful dry woody and ambery note.
Purest key olfactive isomer available on the market, NORLIMBANOL® DEXTRO is a breakthrough innovative molecule.
A complex and diffusive woody ambery note that gives vibrant effects to the complete olfactive pyramid from top to base.
Beaming with elegant musky notes, it offers the creamy warmth of Amber.
dsm-firmenich uses the upcycled Turpentine extracted from the paper industry, often those that use softwood to manufacture cardboard. Derived originally from softwoods, this turpentine is valorized through a fractionation process in which we retrieve alpha and beta pinene, the two main molecules obtained from fractionated turpentine.
Chemical synthesis corresponds to the construction of complex chemical compounds from simpler ones.
Our R&D follows the principles of Green chemistry whenever possible.
To offer alternatives to natural wood resources, dsm-firmenich scientists developed a range of more affordable, sustainable offerings. The first woody molecule introduced was Z11™ in 1961, then came POLYSANTOL®, the first sandalwood molecule in 1985.
Norlimbanol® Dextro is part of dsm-firmenich iconic woody amber signatures, in the footsteps of Z11™ and Norlimbanol®.
