Amber is a family of ingredients with a long history and legacy. By 1930, dsm-firmenich discovered AMBROX® from ambergris, in an effort to uncover its natural essence. By 2016 we invented AMBROX® SUPER via the revolutionary white biotechnology.

dsm-firmenich invented AMBROX® DL (50%) in 1988, a new chemical synthesis route to avoid the clary sage shortage.
