DARTANOL® is a clean, sophisticated creamy sandalwood note with slight cedarwood characteristics. It is softer and more cosmetic than POLYSANTOL®.

DARTANOL® with its good substantivity is often used in combination with POLYSANTOL® and FIRSANTOL® to get a creamy cosmetic natural effect. It offers an excellent cost performance in all applications.

dsm-firmenich uses the upcycled Turpentine extracted from the paper industry, often those that use softwood to manufacture cardboard. Derived originally from softwoods, this turpentine is valorized through a fractionation process in which we retrieve alpha and beta pinene, the two main molecules obtained from fractionated turpentine.

Chemical synthesis corresponds to the construction of complex chemical compounds from simpler ones.
